今年的子冈杯亮点：不管是山子、炉瓶、神佛，或是其他题材的摆件，大件的和田玉作品很少，部分作品以精细纤巧见长。展品以和田玉为主，与往年相比，青玉的比重明显上升。此次展会有不少新玉雕师的作品 ，而且放在了展区入口的黄金位置。杨曦、葛洪、瞿利军等大师的作品则集中在展区的另一侧。国外玉雕师的作品风格独特且不拘一格。除了玉雕作品的集中展示区，玉雕大师作品展区和工作室作品展区也有看头，不少玉雕大师亲临展区，给观展的人讲解自己的作品。今年的子冈杯，就人气来说似乎不比往年，就作品来说，虽然说没有惊喜，但也不乏一些比较新颖的题材和艺术形式。在未来可预见的玉石评比赛事里，大件的和田玉白玉作品恐怕也难得一见。原因：公斤级的白玉籽料少且价格高昂，玉商在入手大块原石的时候，迫于经济压力，首先想到的是变现，料子能开手镯的会优先开手镯，其次是玉牌、手串等市场需求比较大的商品。大摆件的成本太高，市场也不大，积压风险大。所以，艺术的呈现很大程度上是由市场决定的。
