is much nearer to the shopping centre than
theirs. 我们的学校离购物中心比他们学校近得多。 She fell
ill yesterday. And she got even worse today. 她昨天病了。今天情况更糟糕。 We are making still greater progress this term than we did
last term. 这学期我们进步比上学期更大。 (2)表示度量的词组也可以用于表示比较程度。比如： He is only a year older than I. 他只比我大一岁。 They
returned home two hours later than we. 他们回到家比我们晚两小时。 （3）序数词常用于形容词最高级前表示程度。比如： The Yellow
River is the second longest river in China. 黄河是中国第二大河。 China is
