上几期学习了英语语法：形容词短语be acclimated to, be accomplished in等、形容词短语be adapted to, be addicted to等、短语be applicable to，be amazed at等

形容词短语是指由几个形容词或形容词及其修饰语构的短语，通常在句中作定语或者表语。

41. be associated with与……有关系

用法：be associated with后跟名词或者代词。

例句：Britain’s Labor Party, as its name implies, has long been associated with trade unionism. (2012年考研)

英国工党，顾名思义，一直与工联主义联系在一起。

结构分析：该例句用的是现在完成时态，Britain’s Labor Party是主语, as its name implies是插入语作状语从句, has long been associated with是谓语，trade unionism是名词词组作宾语。

42. be bad for对……有害

用法：be bad for后跟人，也可以跟物，相当于be harmful to。

例句：But they are unpopular, because they ca pollute the soil usedto cover them and that’s bad for people who may build new homes there. (2015年6月四级)

但是它们不受欢迎，因为它们会污染覆盖它们的土壤，这对那些可能在那里建造新家园的人有害。

43. be based on以……为基础

用法：be based on后跟名词或者名词词组。

例句：The functioning of the market is based on flexible trends dominated by potential buyers. (2011年考研)

市场的动作基于潜在的买方主导的灵活趋势。

44. be beneficial to有益于……的

用法：be beneficial to后可以跟人，也可以跟物。

例句：Most books on happiness today assert that happiness is beneficial to health. (2014年12月四级)

如今，大多数关于幸福的书都主张塝对健康有益。
