动词短语是由动词和介词、副词、名词等构成的，在句中作谓语。

141.struggle against与……作斗争

用法：struggle against侧重指与疾病或灾难抗争。

例句：At the end of his life, the old artist has been struggling against illness.

在生命的晚期，那个老艺术家一直在与疾病作斗争。

语法结构分析：At the end of his life是时间状语, the old artist是主语（the是定冠词，作前置定语，old是形容词作前置定语）， has been struggling against 是谓语，illness是宾语。

142.suffer from遭到

用法：suffer from一般不用于被动语态，其后多接表示疾病、痛苦的名词或者动名词。

例句：But some people suffer from repeated, frequent headaches. (2015年6月四级)

但是有些人反复、频繁地受到头痛的折磨。

143.talk about谈论，交谈

用法：talk about还可以接what引导的宾语从句。

例句：I’m talking about simple, easy, everyday meals. (2015年12月四级)

我说的是简单容易的日常膳食。

144.talk with与……交谈

用法：talk with后接宾语如果是人称代词，必须为宾格形式。talk with后的宾语一般指人。

例句：The man had better talk with the students himself.(2014年6月四级)

这个人最好亲自和学生们谈谈。
