容易混淆的词组用法与区别

17.too much太多 & much too太……，非常……

用法：too much表示“太多”，用来修饰不可数名词，有时也跟在动词后面，表示程度。much too表示“很，非常”，多用来修饰副词或者形容词。

例句1：Its production depends too much on technology. (2016年6月四级)

它的生产在很大程度上依靠技术。

结构分析：Its production是主语， depends too much on是谓语（too much跟在动词后面，表示依靠或依赖的程度）， technology是宾语。

例句2：His workload was much too heavy. (2016年6月四级)

他的工作量太重了。

结构分析：His workload是主语， was是系动词（be的过去式），much too heavy是表语（much too修饰后面的形容词heavy，表示“太……”）。

18.be used to习惯于，被用于 & used to过去常常

用法：used to后面跟动词不定式，表示过去经常做某事。be used to后面可以跟动词不定式，表示被用来做某事，也可以跟名词或者动名词，表示习惯于做某事。

例句1：A quarter of this year’s American grain harvest will be used to produce bio-fuel for cars. （2016年6月四级）

今年美国四分之一的粮食收成将被用于生产汽车的生物燃料。

例句2：The speakers and Steve used to be classmates. （2014年12月四级）

说话的人过去和史蒂夫是同学。

动词短语：no less than多达，有……之多 & not less than不少于

用法：no less than表示“多达”，侧重数量多，还可以引申为“简直，与……没有差别”，如He is no less than a robber. （他就像强盗一样。）而not less than则表示“不少于，至少”。

例句1：He earned no less than 1,000,000 dollars last year. （2014年12月六级）

例句2：I remembered that he stayed at the house not less than five days.
