多义短语的用法

14. put out熄灭，生产，发行，伸出，驶出

异同之处：putk out后面一般要跟名词、代词或者名词词组作宾语。

例1：He travels all over America to help put out?fires. (2010年12月四级)

他走遍美国，帮忙扑灭火灾。

结构分析：He是主语，travels是为谓语，all over America是状语，to help put out fires是状语。

例2：It’s said that this magazine is put out?every month.

据说这种杂志每月都发行。

语法点：It’s said that中的that一般不能省略。

结构分析：It是形式主语，is said是被动谓语，that引导的从句是真正主语，this magazine是主语，is put out是被动谓语 every month是时间状语。

例3：The teacher asked us to put out?our hands.

老师让我们伸出手。

异同之处：set out表示“开始，着手做”时，后面常跟动词不定式，表示“开始做某事”。
