能用一个词替换的短语的用法

12. more than (over)比……多

用法：more than可在句中作定语、表语等成分，相当于over。

例句1：As a result, wheat prices elsewhere more than doubted, pulling rice and corn prices up with them. (2016年6月四级)

结果，其他地方的小麦价格上涨了一倍多，大米和玉米的价格也赶上了小麦的价格。

结构分析：As a result是状语, wheat prices是主语，elsewhere是状语，more than是状语，doubted是谓语, pulling是ing式词，rice and corn prices是宾语，up是宾语补语，with them是状语（them指前面的wheat prices）。

例句2：The study found that education spending in theregion grew by over 7%.

研究发现，该地区的教育支出实际增长超过7%。

结构分析：The study是主语，found是谓语，that引导宾语从句， education spending in the region是主语（spending in the region是-ing式词组作后置定语），grew是谓语，by over 7%是状语。

短语： next to (near)在……附近

用法：next to是一个常见的介词词组，后接名词、形容词，也可以表示“在……旁边，在……附近”，相当于介词near。

例句1：Tollets are situated on B deck at the rear of the ship and on A desk next to the snack bar.(2014年12月六级)

例句2：I heard the mew of a cat near the house。
