【原】在英语中如何表达倍数

Ⅰ)英语中倍数的常见表达句型：

一、A+数词/倍数+形容词或副词的比较级+than+B，表示A比B大（长、高、宽等）多少倍，那么A实际的大小（长、高、宽）是B的（倍数+1）大，如：

This building is twice higher than that one.

这栋建筑物比那栋高2倍。（这栋建筑物的实际高度为那栋的(2+1)倍高）

The swimming pool is four times wider than the one in our school.

这个游泳池比我们学校的宽4倍。（这个游泳池的实际宽度为我们学校游泳池宽度的(4+1)倍宽）

二、A+数词/倍数+as+形容词或副词的原级+as+B，表示A的实际大小是B的（倍数）大，如：

The salary you're paid is twice as much as mine.

你的工资是我的两倍。

The fighter is ten times as fast as that one.

这架战斗机的飞行速度是那架的10倍。

三、A+数词/倍数+the size/height/length/width，etc+of+B，表示A的某个方面（大小，高，长，宽等等）正好是B的多少倍，如：

The computer is three times the width of that one.

这台电脑是那台的3倍宽。

The shoe is twice the size ot that small one.

这个鞋子是那个小的鞋子的2倍大。

Ⅱ)英语中倍数表达的特殊句型：

一、常见表达句型的变形 
1、 数词/倍数+times+more+名词+than+被比对象，表示比被比对象（数词/倍数）倍还多，如：

The cost to repair this car is three times more money in this auto repair shop than in that one.

在这家汽修店维修这辆车的成本是那家的3倍多。

We  have recruited twice more emplees this year than we did last year.

我们今年招工数是去年的2倍多。

2、数词/倍数+times as many/much+名词+as+被比对象，表示是被比对象的（数词/倍数）倍，如：

There are three times as many performances in this computer as in that one.

这台电脑的性能是那台的3倍。

There are five times as many volunteers as we expected.

志愿者数量是我们预期的5倍.

3、数词/倍数+times+over+被比对象，表示是被比对象的（数词/倍数）倍多，如：

The output power of this new car is twice over that of the last release.

这辆新车的输出功率是上次发布的汽车的功率的2倍多。

4、数词/倍数+times+that+of+被比对象 ，表示是被比对象的（数词/倍数）倍，如：

The income of Augaust in our company is 5 times that of July.

我们公司八月份的收入是7月份的5倍。

5、数词/倍数+times+compared with+被比对象、表示是被比对象的（数词/倍数）倍，如：

So far the number of the cars has increased 20 times compared with 90s.

截止目前汽车的数量比90年代增加了20倍。

6、数词/倍数+times+what+从句，表示是被比对象的（数词/倍数）倍，如：

The functions of a phone are now ten times what it was several years ago.

现在手机的功能比几年前增加了10倍。

二、倍数/百分数（percent）+compared with/up on +被比对象，表示比被比对象多了（倍数/百分数），如：

The stock in the first half of this year was 50% down compared with last year.

今年上半年股市的市值比去年跌了50%。

The number of terrorist attacks these years is 30% up on that of 90s.

近些年恐怖袭击的数量比90年增了30%。

三、用double表示倍数 
1、double用作形容词，表示“两倍的”，如：

The width of the road is now double what it was last year.

这条路的宽是去年的2倍。

2、double用作动词，表示“是……的两倍.如：

The turn-over rate has been doubled in the past 3 years.

人事变多率在过去3年中已经翻了3倍。
