THIS is the start of our story! THIS is the start of the life of Harry Potter! Everything happened so far are clearly explained. Why do Vernon and Petunia hate Harry? Because they hate Harry’s parents and the strange things around Little Harry. Why do they hate his parents? Because his parents were witch and wizard! Why were there strange things around Harry? Because he is a wizard too! Petunia could not bear it anymore when Hagrid showed up, “she had been wanting to say all this for years”. She was the normal one, the right one in her family while Lily was a freak, but her parents were proud of Lily not her. How could not she hate magic! And, and, I assume Vernon hates magic just because Petunia hates magic and he loves her (a good husband, a romance~~~ isn’t it? .˚‧º·(´ฅωฅ‘)‧º·˚.). Then Harry, he got his first birthday cake. He got his letter and the change to enter Hogwarts. He got some facts about his parents and himself. He saw some results of “limited magic”. He didn’t realize how powerful and dangerous the magic was then, but obviously magic was interesting and cool – it could grow a pig tail for Dudley! I bet Harry LOVE that! However, the leading character of this chapter definitely was Hagrid. The author used imagery to create Hagrid, directly or indirectly, his appearance or his personality, making you feel no better expression could be found. A word impressed me the most was “mane” when it talked about his hair. You may not believe I laughed about is for at least five minutes (=。=|||) His coat was amazing, just like Doraemon’s pocket. You can find anything from it including a whole set tools to make tea. To what an extend a British likes tea! After a long drifting of several days, the people from #4 Privet Drive were able to fall asleep – peacefully or frightenedly – and they deserved that. Hagrid gives everyone a shock，when he call on the Durleys suddenly.I totally wanna say to the Durleys“It' time to teach you a lesson！” What's the reaction when you see a giant？ The Durleys give you the answer. Dudley——at first “he sat frozen with fear”，then，“he squeaked and ran to hide bebind his mother.” Aunt——“she was crouching，terrified，behind Uncle Vernon” Uncle Vernon——“he made a funny rasping noise”when he was scared by the giant，“he made another funny noise like a mouse being trodden on”He still want to try to struggle But The two funny noise is a real reaction of Uncle Vernon.He is afraid of the magic world have known the bad things he have done to Harry. At the some time，Harry is calm and brave，even Hagrid looks scary.he is also a smart boy，he asks a lot of question before he can believe the strange. This part is a turning point of Harry's life.He already knows who he is，and how special he is.As a wizardry，he will go to the Hogwarts school. By the way，Hagrid is a cute guy with a huge strength 这一章里，一个高大威“萌”的人物闪灵登场了。那就是巨人Hagrid。他在暴风雨的夜里，赶在十二点Harry的11岁生日到来的那一刻出现，送来了Harry人生中第一个蛋糕，虽然卖相不怎么样，而且虽然有点压扁了。哈哈。 Hagrid的到来是Harry人生中的转折点。他让Harry知道了被姨夫姨母隐瞒多年的身世-巫师，了解到自己的父母被谋杀，还有一个叫Voldemort的恶毒巫师。 这些对小Harry来说猛烈程度不亚于今晚的暴风雨。与此同时，Hagrid也让Harry感受到了从没有过的温暖。 然而，Hagrid的到来并不是让所有人都满意的，对于Dursley一家来说简直是人生的悲剧。即便东躲西藏到四面环海的小岛上，即便风雨交加，还是没能躲过与魔法界人士的接触。 他们的言行、对Harry的行为、对Dumbledore的不敬严重激怒了Hagrid。他们的心里建设也像被Hagrid坐塌的沙发一样垮塌了。读到这里很开心，讨厌的人得到了教训，而Harry可以开始新的生活了。 第一章只告诉大家哈利是个魔法界的重要人物，即使他只是个婴儿，但是如何重要的却没有说明。直到第四章才告诉大家为什么哈利是个重要人物！ 一个强大的反派巫师，杀了许多优秀的巫师，杀死了哈利的爸妈，但是唯独没有伤害到哈利的性命，只是给他留下一个小小的疤？！所以哈利对伏地魔来说就是氪石对超人？（当然这个比方不是很恰当。。。）
虽然跟哈利关系很密切，但是却并不是魔法界的一个大人物，是魔法学校的开除掉的学生，是个“打杂的”，而且对校长邓布利多忠心耿耿。 就是这样一个小人物，对付起哈利的姨夫姨妈也是绰绰有余~怪不得姨夫姨妈那么反感排斥魔法的世界~打乱了麻瓜的世界平衡，让他们高高在上的优越感瞬间化为乌有。 而且特别有意思的描写在，海格自己透露了自己作为一个巫师不能对麻瓜使用魔法的规则，但是又透露了只有在找哈利和给哈利送信的时候才能用一点~哈哈。 所以上一章那么多有意思的送信情节都是出自海格的手笔呀~毕竟英国人都是很低调的感觉，那么奇异的送信虽然是“官方”的，但是送信方式必然不是“官方”的。
然后他们因为重视莉莉而忽视了姨妈（姨妈有姓名吗？我忘记了）而引起了姨妈的因妒生恨。不太懂得罗琳定义的规则，所以巫师血统是一个隐形基因？对，后面的情节好像有讨论巫师血统的问题，我们敬请期待吧~ On the island, in a dilapidated house, several people put on a play. Because been cheated by The Dursleys, Harry didn't know lots of fact about his parents and himself,he was a little helpless and dazed,but he saw the hope from Hagrid; Hagrid was angry for the stupidity of the muggles, and punished The Dursleys with magic; The Dursleys was angry by hagrid's appearance and terrified by his power.
