康奈尔大学位于美国纽约州伊萨卡，是一所世界顶级私立研究型大学（另有两个校区位于纽约市和卡塔尔教育城），为美国大学协会的十四个创始院校之一，以及著名的常春藤盟校的八个成员之一。

 

康奈尔非常注重扎实的建筑理论，同时对于先锋设计接受度也比较高，而且康奈尔大学非常注重建筑理论与建筑设计过程中的批判性思考与理解。建筑本科课程强调设计，理论，历史，技术，和结构。建筑硕士课程学习过程侧重实践，设计以及制作，培养学生的探究感，责任感和创造力。同时建筑设计专业的学生会在罗马和纽约进行平均时间为一个学期的学习，为学生提供了强化的职业教育。2019-2020美国DI Rankings研究生院校建筑专业排名第4，景观专业排名第2。

The program uniquely engages global practices through a foundation in making and conceptual thinking. Its close community of talented and dedicated students and faculty work together to push the boundaries of the discipline. The program is committed to the view that thenature of contemporary practice must be continually investigated and reassessed in today's globally expansive and technologically dynamic context. The program places questions of practice, design, and fabrication and making at the centerof the learning process, and seeks to develop students' sense of inquiry, responsibility, and creativity as they formulate their unique professional trajectories. The program aims to engage the unique strengths and needs of graduate students — the variety of academic and life experiences that they bring to the discipline.

Post-Professional Master of Science Advanced Architectural Design (M.S.AAD)

Cornell's post-professional Master of Science, Advanced Architectural Design program (M.S. AAD) is an intensive,advanced architectural design research program open to individuals holding aB.Arch. or professional M.Arch. degree. The program offers a critical framework for investigating pertinent design concerns, practices, and technologies in 21st-century architecture and urbanism. Three- and four-semester options areavailable, both starting with a summer semester in New York City and continuing at the Ithaca campus.
