01学校介绍 02项目名称 The M Arch is an accredited first professional degree. It fulfills the professional degree requirements for registration as an architect. It is designed for students entering either with no academic training in architecture and for four-year bachelor’s “pre-arch” degrees who wish to enter the profession of architecture. Students who are accepted to The University of Austin School of Architecture will be admitted to the 3-year M Arch degree program or the 2-year M Arch degree program with advanced standing. The Graduate Office evaluates each student's application and determines eligibility for advanced standing based on the applicant's background in architecture. The curriculum can usually be completed in three or four semesters. Graduates of the MAAD program are able to enter—or re-enter—the profession with significantly enhanced qualifications. They are able to offer these enhanced skills to governmental, institutional, and business organizations, and they are better able to contemplate teaching architecture at the college level. The Community and Regional Planning (CRP) Program at the University of Texas at Austin seeks to continuously strengthen, adapt, and improve our teaching, research, and service activities to create and support healthy, safe, just and environmentally resilient communities. Our mission is to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities that empower students to accomplish these goals through practical engagement in transparent and socially inclusive planning processes in a variety of settings in the United States and around the world. We strive to provide an environment of innovation in teaching, research and practice that accomplishes this mission while remaining faithful to our long-standing values of equity, fairness, diversity and dedication to creating and maintaining sustainable communities. The program recommends a candidate to the Graduate School for the award of Master of Landscape Architecture as a professional degree after satisfactory completion of prerequisites, a mid-program portfolio review and 87 credits or more as prescribed in the Program-of-Work. Advanced Standing The program grants advanced standing to qualified candidates up to two semesters. Students with advanced standing typically complete their degrees in 2 or 2.5 years. The Master of Landscape Architecture, Post-Professional Degree, is a graduate program designed to provide individuals who have completed an undergraduate professional landscape architecture degree or its equivalent an opportunity to engage in advanced scholarship and professional development. The program seeks applicants who demonstrate academic and professional achievement and the potential for professional leadership. The program is designed to facilitate a concentrated examination of advanced topics in relation to the practice of landscape architecture. Topics can vary but are not exclusive to Sustainable Design, Cultural and Historic Landscapes, and issues of Urbanism and Landscape Architecture. The Master of Science in Urban Design is an accelerated graduate program designed to prepare students for advanced work in the practice of urban design.
