 John Joseph Travolta (born February 18, 1954) is an American actor, film producer, dancer, pilot, and singer. Travolta first became known in the 1970s, appearing on the television series Welcome Back, Kotter (1975–1979) and starring in the box office successes Saturday Night Fever (1977) and Grease (1978).
