加州酒店禁止使用小型塑料瓶 Small Plastic Bottles Banned from California Hotels Hotels in California will no longer be allowed to give guests shampoo and soap in small plastic bottles. The law comes into effect in 2023 for hotels with more than 50 rooms, and 2024 for hotels with fewer rooms. Hotels that break the law will have to pay $500 the first time they do it, and $2,000 every time they ignore the ban after that. Some hotel businesses have already been trying to get small plastic bottles out of their rooms, including Marriott International, which plans to stop using them in any of its hotels by 2020. IHG, which owns Holiday Inn and other hotel brands, has said it will get rid of about 200 million small bottles across its business by 2021. In 2018, Walt Disney Co. also said it would stop using small plastic shampoo bottles in the rooms at its resorts and on its cruise ships. Grocery stores in California are already banned from giving customers single-use plastic bags for free, and restaurants can only give people plastic straws if they ask for them. |
