【原】【每日一练】Can I swap with you?

标题中的“swap”不知道有多少人认识，背过单词书的恐怕都能说出来。但光是知道意思那可还不够，是否会在自己使用英语时自如地说出来，这才是判断是否掌握的重要依据。

“swap”一般作动词使用，其意是“交换”，即：give something to someone in exchange for something else。你可以swap with sb.，与某个人交换，也可以swap A for B，用物A来换物B，可以swap sth. with sb.，与某人交换某物。既然是交换，那通常都是用建议、商量的口气来说：

Can I swap with you?

我能跟你换吗？

Can I swap this blue scarf
for your violet one?

我能用这条蓝色围巾跟你换你的紫色的吗？

To cut down on fat,
swap cream for milk.

想减少脂肪摄入，用牛奶替换奶油。

 “swap places”是跟别人交换位置，除了实际中的位置（座位、站位之类的），也可以指“身处的位置”，即“与他人交换处境”

Can we swap places?

我们能换个位置吗？

I can't see a thing.
Do you mind if we swap places?

我什么也看不见。你介意跟我换个位置吗？

I’m very happy with my life.
I wouldn’t swap places with anyone.

我对我的生活很满足，我跟谁都不会换。

如果你与别人swap了某物，那你的就变成了别人的，别人的就变成了你的，但是，有些东西在swap之后是变成大家共有的了。这时候，swap的意思更接近于share。

我们今天互相交流旅行的故事。

They sat in a corner and swapped gossip.

他们坐在角落里交流着八卦消息。

Let’s swap our ideas,

The two girls sat around swapping notes
on guys they knew.

两个女孩子坐在一块儿，
交流着她们认识的男生们的事情。

习惯了用change的朋友，下次记得用swap这个词来表达！

重要提醒：在组成swap的现在分词和过去分词时，别忘了结尾的p要双写：

swapping

swapped
