今天来首超经典的世界名曲，这首歌于1983年2月11日在英国发行，1983年5月31日在美国由哥伦比亚唱片公司发行。这首歌收录在Bonnie Tyler的第五张录音室专辑《Faster Than the Speed of Night》(1983)中。这首歌由 Jim Steinman编写和制作，最初的完整版本6分51秒，但一个较短的广播版本制作了4.5分钟。1983年这首歌在全球许多排行榜上都占据了很高的位置，包括英国单曲榜冠军和美国公告牌百强榜冠军。2003年，Bonnie Tyler和法国歌手 Kareen Antonn录制了这首歌的双语版本。他们的版本在法国排名第一长达10周。可谓是世界名曲啊。

这首歌的这句歌词“turn around, bright eyes”，来源于斯坦曼1969年创作的音乐剧《The Dream Engine（梦想引擎）》。这首歌的旋律最初出现在他1980年为电影《A Small Circle of Friends（小朋友圈）》所作的配乐中。

Tyler在1982年与CBS唱片公司签约后遇到了Jim Steinman。他最初不愿与Tyler合作，但发现他们在音乐上有相似的品味。在他们初次见面后，Tyler几周后回到 Steinman在纽约的公寓，在那里他与Rory Dodd一起演唱了这首歌。
