The alter ego–immortal! The writer:
Afternoon–right time for pondering life and death? The
writer:
Life dies of writing, and death, revived by reading.
My years of exile coming to an end,
I returned to my home of childhood,
All's alien and strange.
……Where were the Japanese?
The writer: not having to be unique.
The world: with nothing but a book.
Thro my life, I've done nothing but repeatedly revisiting
My gift unveiled when I was six and three days
old……
