Owing to multiple factors, companies across India are seeing a rise in the cost of doing business and production, according to a survey by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). Prices of automobiles, electronics, capital goods, toys, paper products, fertilisers and pharmaceuticals are expected to rise.
At least 61 per cent of companies surveyed by FICCI have reported higher production costs in the second quarter of 2021-22 (July-September 2021-22).
