In fact, I had heard some negative comments about this particular city before visiting it, but I was proved wrong when I actually went there. The name of the city is Guangzhou, a prominent metropolis in the south of China, which is well-known for its varieties of delectable cuisines and the “Canton Tower”. Contrary to popular belief, Guangzhou has a lot of old residential buildings, in contrast to the towering skyscrapers only a few blocks away. Besides, what extremely appealed to me is that there is a wetland park in the city center. As a northerner in China, I have never seen an agile snake slide across the path during the day while I was strolling there. This might be the most astonishing experience I have ever met recently. And of course, it is worth mentioning that I went to a Cantonese morning tea restaurant, which left me with an enduring impression that even now it makes my mouth water. All kinds of dishes served such as shrimp and pork dumplings satisfied my taste-buds. They tasted exceptionally perfect, although the interior decoration seemed very plain. I have to say I had a tremendous vacation in Guangzhou.
