一、“口语化”“花式”参考译文：

Yan’an (City，加词，既然英语是翻译给“不知情”的“老外”看，必须“加注”，否则，我们自己很熟悉的东西，直接弄成英语，读者就会一脸懵，跟什么都没说一个样) lies in /is situated in/is located in north Shanxi Province (in Northwest China)and in the middle reaches(not the upper reaches or the lower reaches) of the Yellow River, (China's second longest river).

It's deemed as/regarded as the Sacred Land of THE Chinese Revolution where the first generation(建议改old为first，老一代只是中国说法，old genetation“怪怪的”，甚至“胆子再大一点，借用美国人的说法：the founding fathers一词”) of revolutionaries including Mao Zhedong/Mao Zedong,along with other revolutionaries of the first generation used to live and fight for 13 years.（句子太长了，可以“截断”）.They led there/It was there that they led the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression/Invasion/Occupation and the Liberation War.They cultivated/developed/fostered the Yan ’an Spirit and they made tremendous/great contribution to the Chinese Revolution. 

Of its kind in China,the revolutionary site in Yan'an ranks first in numbers of buildings,in scale.It also has the highest ranking of its kind.

Yan'an is one of the numerous education bases for patriotism,for the revolutionary tradition/legacy and for inheriting the Yan'an Spirit.

There are a total of nine revolutionary memorial houses/halls/museums in Yan'an,where visitors can see on display numerous/a lot of important materials/exhibits belonging to the revolutionaries of the first genetation during their life and work in Yan'an.

So these museums are also referred to/called/reputed as the Musrum City of the Chinese Revolution.

二、原文

延安位于陕西省北部，地处黄河中游，是中国革命的圣地。毛泽东等老一辈革 命家曾在这里生活战斗了十三个春秋，领导了抗日战争和解放战争，培育了延安精神，为中国革命做出了巨大贡献。延安的革命旧址全国数量最大、分布最广、级别最高。延安是全国爱国主义、革命传统和延安精神教育基地。延安有9个革命纪念馆，珍藏着中共中央和老一辈革命家在延安时期留存下来的大量重要物品，因此享有“中国革命博物馆城”的美誉。

三、标准“参考译文”

译文存在的一些问题：

1.用词有误，以及专有名词大小写问题，如中国革命（中国曾有过多次“革命”，此处的“革命”特指CPC领导的那场革命，故应大写），延安精神等应该首个字母应该大写）

2.一方面英语应试教育从来都是让学生用汉语学的英语，一方面有要求考场里的考生在30分钟内“徒手”如英语专业学生那样完成一篇正儿八经书面语很重的“解说词”。这样的语言学习“逻辑”不自恰啊！只能难为那些老死记硬背标准答案过关的学生了。

3.延安的“圣地”是表达成Holy land，而不是a sacred land吗？

Holy land一般特指中东约旦河东岸，也就是埃及和叙利亚之间的那块土地，也叫上帝给的Land of promise，什么时候“跑”延安去了？

在中国，被称为“革命圣地”的一般只有“延安”一个地方，所以，不要说a sacred land，更不是a holy land，而是THE sacred land，更不是“基督教色彩”浓重让人想到耶路撒冷的Holy land
