关于这件衣服的结构和名字，作者是这样讲的：

Originally，kimono was simply the japanese word for clothing,but today we use kimono to refer to the treditional dress of japan.

起初，kimono(和服）仅只是日语里称呼衣服的词，但是现在我们使用kimomo 指传统的日本服装。

In the Heian period(794-1192),a new clothes-making technique was developed,known as the straight-line-cut method .

在平安时代（794-1192），一种新的做衣服的技术发展起来，被称为直线剪裁系统。

This technique involved cutting pieces of fabric in straight lines and sewing them together。

这种技术包含将使用直线条将织物剪裁为片状，再缝在一起。

Streight-line -cut kimonos offered advantages:they  were flattering to all body shapes,easily to fold,and suitable for any weather.

直线剪裁的和服具有如下优点：可以修饰所有身材，容易折叠，适合任何季节。

Even though  the kimono has changed over time,its simple shape has remained the same.

虽然和服经历了时代的变化，其简洁 形状依然不变。

This simplicity inspired  me to create a straight-line kimono  sweater named for the official flower of japan.

这种简洁性启发我创作出1件以日本国花命名的直线条和服式毛衣。
