建筑师 | 刘晓光 Architect | Xiaoguang Liu 西单更新场是城市广场与地下商业空间结合的更新改造项目，是城市更新复杂矛盾下的一个小型项目实践。该项目采取非商业建筑的设计方法，聚焦公共场所营造，通过打破地面的物理及概念界限，将公共领域与商业空间融为一体。隐身景观的设计借鉴了中国古典文化和场地历史的隐喻，形成兼具独特美感与文脉关联的再生城市景观。 The New is a regeneration of an urban plaza and an underground commercial space, a small project of larger issues in urban renewal. With an institutional approach to commercial architecture that focuses on public place-making, the design reunites once divided urban and commercial spaces by breaking physical and conceptual demarcation of the ground and merging public realm with commercial spaces.
