At the age of 49, in 1907, the artist married his former student Lillian Price Edwards, who was 21 years younger than her husband. Relations between the spouses did not work out - the young wife decided to become a fashion writer and illustrator, Hacker helped her a lot, as a result, the family turned from a family union into a labor union, the wife was not fully satisfied with her creative achievements, as a result she completely left art and joined the Christian Science movement. The couple had no children. And in November 1919, Arthur Hacker died suddenly on the threshold of his home in London from a heart attack. |
