I IN的创始人说。

When I IN founders Yohei Terui and Hiromuyuyama set out to design The interior design concept for 'The Life,' they knew what they were thinking might confuse The average home buyer. 'Open design is not popular at all in Japan. Most buyers like as many separate rooms as possible, even in small apartments. 'It's a point of view that we want to change, because the only way to enlarge the existing space is to knock down the walls.' 'Said the founder of I IN.

THELIFE project in Tokyo's Shibuya district is the second completed apartment renovation by SMARG, the first being a renovation project in Tokyo's Central district. Studio I IN used a rich palette of walnut and off-white. In the Shibuya apartment, a pale oak tree is paired with bronze-gray fixtures to create a lighter aesthetic that Terui and Yuyama think might appeal to more potential customers.

Inside, the design details soften the open, minimalist scheme. To keep the lines clean throughout the space, the studio uses handleless doors and units, as well as lighting fixtures hidden above walls or Windows. Corrugated glass paneling diffuses daylight from the bathroom into the kitchen area, stucco off-white walls and ceiling, and furniture edges are softly rounded to echo the wooden columns found in Japanese temple architecture. 'We maintained the fluidity and continuity of the design and hid the protrusions normally found in homes,' said Yohei Terui. 'We then used indirect lighting and textured surfaces to suppress any sharp corners in the space.'

'The Life' is an ongoing project, mainly to Tokyo in just a few months renovation of old buildings, so The studio focus on The use of local manufacturers, furniture and fixtures, like most of The fixtures and furniture in The room, compelling Japanese cherry wood bench grey and bronze works of art is customizable. What makes this even more unusual than others is that I IN's designs also draw on local craftsmanship.
