【原】小年味里的英文

“轻风淡月，年年去路。谁识小年初度。”，今日是农历的小年。它可谓是年的前奏，不知不觉中时间又走过一年。这一年，似乎没有什么容易的事。而当我们慢慢停下来，驻足回望，就能咂摸出不一样的时间回味，意味悠长。

愿过往回味无穷，来年精彩纷呈！

今晚昕妈就和大家聊一聊与小年有关的英文。近些年的考试常会考到中国传统文化内容，童鞋们平时应注重这方面的积累。

Today is the 23rd day of the 12th month in the lunar calendar, the traditional Little New Year.  At this time, people offer sacrifice to the kitchen god. Now however, most families make delicious food to enjoy themselves.

今天是腊月二十三，传统的小年小年。在这一天，人们会祭拜灶神。然而现在，许多家庭会做可口的饭菜自个享受。

People paste door gods on doors as a prayer for blessings, longevity, health, and peace. Two door gods on double doors are thought to keep evil spirits from entering.

人们贴门神，以祈求祝福、长寿、健康和和平。两扇门上都有两个门神，据说是为了防止邪灵进入。

Cutting and pasting window decoration is a popular folk activity. There are many kinds of window decoration,  such as  lion rolling hydrangea, two dragons playing with beads, every year there are fish, which means "rich and have a surplus "in the successive years etc.

剪贴窗花是较为盛行的民俗活动。窗花的种类多种多样，如狮子滚绣球、二龙戏珠、连年有鱼等。

Sweeping dust shows the good wish of putting away old things and welcoming a new life, making everything look fresh in the new year.

扫尘是人们对辞旧迎新，新年新气象的一种愿望。

After the Preliminary Eve, people begin preparing for the coming New Year. This is called "Seeing the New Year in".

小年以后，人们开始准备即将到来春节的年货，翘首迎新年。
