A home video of a young boy's emotional reaction to watching his favorite band, Coldplay, perform has melted the hearts of millions.

At first Huillo looks overwhelmed, fighting back tears. As Chris Martin sings the lyrics 'tears stream down your face', Huillo's father too begins to cry, mouthing the words to his son and kissing the boy's face. It's a sweet encounter, made all the more poignant by the fact that Huillo, 6, has autism.

Tears stream down your face

When you lose something you cannot replace

Tears stream down your face

Lights will guide you home

And ignite your bones

And I will try to fix you

They tried to support their son with various things, however, everything 'worked for the short term, without any significant and expected progress', until his knack for music was discovered. The young boy who loves not only singing but play various musical instruments from guitar to synthesizer, often jams with the band's videos on TikTok.

Huillo's father published the video on his social networks, which immediately went viral and a few weeks later, it was seen by the members of the band, who stated the following on his official Twitter account: 'This kind of thing makes it all worthwhile.'

When the British band returned to Mexico City, Huillo was not only was invited to attend the show but also performed with them. The young artist performed his self-composed song, 'Different Is Okay', getting a round of applause not only from the crowd but also from the musicians themselves.

'Huillo loves music and Coldplay is his favorite band — for Huillo, music is the most important therapy, it has so much power... We can actually see how it affects him — becoming more social, speaking and communicating much better with others around him,' the young boy's website reads. 'For us, everything started that day at the Coldplay's concert.'

Many have an intuitive sense of the power of music. It's not unusual to see music used during fitness workouts, yoga classes, and running sessions.

Humans have long appreciated the healing and cathartic power of music. But modern music therapy began after World War II, according to the American Music Therapy Association. When community musicians visited hospitals to perform for veterans, the soldiers seemed to improve both physically and emotionally, eventually prompting the institutions to hire professionals for the job.

Music therapy not only includes music listening, but also a broad scope of music-making experiences — from singing and drumming to improvisation, songwriting, and recording. Music therapy can help those with Alzheimer's and research shows that those with autism can improve the ability to communicate and socialize through music therapy.

Music therapy is certainly not restricted to special facilities. Outside of a clinical setting, people can still enjoy these benefits, as music can stir emotion, prompt discussion, facilitate expression, and lower stress. Music therapy can help you to pursue your own health and happiness through music.
