 Using kelp, or seaweed, in your garden is a clever way to reclaim the nutrients washed out by rain and get them back into your soil. It is rich in potassium, which makes this fertilizer especially useful for fruit and fruiting vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. 1. Pour dried kelp or seaweed into a large noncorrosive container of rainwater. For 21⁄4 gallons (10 liters) of water you should expect to use around 16oz (500g) of dried material. 将干海带或海藻，倒入一个抗腐蚀性的装满雨水的容器中。比例为：10升水，500克干海藻。 2. Stir well. Thanks to their watery origins, kelp and seaweed take a while to decompose in water to produce a liquid manure.
