Mistovia是波兰的一家室内设计工作室，创立于2021年。该工作室的设计作品充满了现代主义的折衷美学意味，通过其设计方式让旧建筑原有的复古魅力在现代主义的土壤中得以滋润和延展。他们认为空间即材料，需赋予其新的维度，使其形神兼备。

Mistovia returns with a new project located in Podgórze, a district of Krakow on the bank of the Vistula River. Located in an apartment block famous for its light pink concrete facade and distinct dark-red window frames, the studio has extended the same colour code to this modestly sized 57sqm interior.

A few minor changes were added to the layout. Originally, the living space had been divided into two smaller rooms—a living room with a kitchenette and a bedroom. Instead, the team removed the wall dividing the two rooms and merged them into an open space, creating one open and spacious common room that easily accommodates a kitchen; a large table destined for hosting friends and a modular sofa, which can be rearranged depending on the needs of the day.

In the kitchen, rather than overhead cupboards, all the storage space can be found to the side to extend that sense of openness. The black, block-like kitchen furniture creates a suitable background for the marble tiles by the Italian brand 41zero42 and the intensely red accents in the form of shiny switches from the GIRA S-Color series, and simple sconces.

整体使用微水泥地板、哑光橱柜和胡桃木家具的温暖搭配。设计师解释说:“鲜艳的色彩形成对比，为空间添加了一丝幽默感。”粉状涂层钢制成的红色书柜和《美好生活》中的红色坐椅的运用，是对这栋建筑色彩的一次致敬”。

The raw microcement floor used throughout has been paired with the deep, matte veneered kitchen cupboards and the warmth of the walnut wood furniture in the living room. “Those dominating elements contrast with colourful accents added with a trace of humour,” explain the designers. “The red bookcase made of powder-coated steel and maroon Meadow chairs by The Good Living are a tribute to the building’s colour palette”.

A spacious modular sofa and furniture designed by Mistovia studio and made out of American walnut veneer, really make the living room. “The shape of the furniture results from its function and the resident’s needs – the arched element by the ceiling is home for the projector screen, used for long movie nights. The panels behind the TV effectively hide the air duct and cables,” say the designers. All the other elements are a result of playing with various shapes and colours.

The real challenge of the project was fitting a bathtub and a shower into the bathroom the size of 5sqm. Luckily, the design team managed to fit the marble sink into one of the alcoves created by the building’s original shape. The walls are covered in large-format Italian tiles that resemble a deep blue onyx.
