在中文里，我们为了要明确说出“东西之间的相对位置”，会使用“里 / 外 / 上 /下”等说法来让别人清楚了解相互之间的“相对位置”。 而英文也是一样的，也会使用代表“里 / 外 / 上 / 下”的词性来说明。而具有这样词性的单词，我们就称为介词。 介词的功能，主要是用来显示出“两者之间的相对位置”。 如“in”这个介词＝“在……里面”的意思；既然是“在……里面”，“in”的后面当然必须搭配一个空间（盒子 / 房屋），来符合“在……里面”的意思。 中文：那只猫在我的房间里。 英文：That cat is in my house. 常见错误：That cat in my room. 中文常会省略“是”，但没有了“is”，这句就失去了动词。英文句子一定要有动词，所以不能省略“is”！ 1．你妹妹在哪里？ Where is your sister ? 2．我妹妹（是）在她的房间里。 My sister is in her room. 3．你妹妹（是）在她的房间里吗？ Is your sister in her room ? 4．是的，她在。 Yes , she is . 5．为什么你妹妹（是）在她（自己）的房间里？ Why is your sister in her room ? 6．她（是）在她（自己）的房间里因为她是疲倦的（tired）。 She is in her room becaese she is tired. 7．那个人在哪里？ Where is that person ? 8．那个人（是）在我的房子里。 That person is in my house . 9．那个人（是）在你的房子里吗？ Is that person in your house ? 10．是的，他在。 Yes , he is . 11．为什么那个人（是）在你的房子里？ Why is that person in your house ? 12．那个人（是）在我的房子里因为他是我的丈夫（husband）。 That person is in my house because he is my husband . 13．你父亲在哪里？ Where is your father ? 14．我父亲在他的办公室（office）里。 My father is in her office . 15．你父亲在他的办公室里吗？ Is your father in his office ? 16．是的，他在。 Yes , he is . 17．为什么你父亲在他的办公室里？ Why is your father in his office ? 18．他在他的办公室里因为他是忙碌的。 He is in his office because he is busy . 19．那位友善的（friendly）女服务生在哪里？ Where is that friendly waitress ? 20．那位友善的女服务生（是）在那家书店里。 That friendly waitress is in that bookstore . 21．那位友善的女服务生（是）在那家书店里吗？ Is that friendly waitress in that bookstore ? 22．是的，她在。 Yes ,she is . 23．为什么那位友善的女服务生（是）在那家书店里？ Why is that friendly waitress in that bookstore ? 24．她在那家书店里因为她的儿子在那家书店里。 She is in that bookstore because Her son is in that bookstore . 25．那个健康的（healthy）婴儿在哪里？ Where is that healthy baby ? 26．那个健康的婴儿（是）在她的汽车里。 That healthy baby is in her car . 27．那个健康的婴儿（是）在她的汽车里吗？ Is that healthy baby in her car ? 28．是的，他在。 Yes ,he is . 29．为什么那个健康的婴儿（是）在她的汽车里？ Why is that healthy baby in her car ? 30．那个婴儿在她的汽车里因为她是他的母亲。 That baby is in her car because she is his mother . 31．那只猴子在哪里？ Where is that monkey? 32．那只猴子在我的教室里。 That monkey is in my classroom. 33．那只猴子在你的教室里吗？ Is that monke in your classroom ? 34．是的，它在。 Yes , it is . 35．为什么那只猴子在你的教室里？ Why is that monkey in your classroom ? 36．它在我的教室里因为它是我的宠物（pet）。 It is in my classroom because it is my pet . family, home, house与room做一个解析: family的意思是“家，家庭”，是一个集体名词. home的意思是“家”，主要指一个人出生或居住的地方；home也有“家乡，故乡”的意思。 house主要指“建筑物，住宅”. room 作可数名词时，意为“房间”， 常指单人住户使用的房间；作不可数名词时，意为“空间，地方” |
