As the novel coronavirus(新冠状病毒) spreads around the world, it’s a good time to understand how cleaning can help prevent the spread of disease and what you can do to cut the risk of infection(感染) in your home.

The new coronavirus is mainly spread from person to person by very small virus that flies in the air after a cough. Cleaning is very important, because organic(有机的) matter may prevent or reduce the infected person’s ability to stop viruses.

Objects and surfaces can also be important in the spread of disease. It’s not so clear what role they play in spreading the new coronavirus, but they play an important one for related viruses such as SARS and so on. However, it makes sense that something infected by the virus could pass it on, for example if a person touches it and then touches their nose, mouth or face. So, if someone at risk of having the virus has been in your home, cleaning to reduce the amount of infection on surfaces may help cut down your risk of further spread of coronavirus. (It will also cut the risk of spreading other viruses.)

The coronavirus is a special style and it is to be kept off in the environment. Both heat and washings, including soap, can stop it developing. Then, what’s the difference between cleaning and disinfection? There’s a useful way to tell the difference between cleaning and disinfection.

Cleaning means physically removing organic matter such as germs and dirt from surfaces. Disinfection means using chemicals to stop viruses on surfaces.

Cleaning is very important, because organic matter may stop or reduce the disinfectant’s ability to weaken viruses.

( ) 46. What should we do to cut the risk of infection in our home ?

We should stop the new coronavirus from spreading around the world.

B. We should have a good time understanding how to keep staying at home .

C. We should understand how cleaning can help prevent the spread of disease.

D. We should wash our hands and drink water as much as possible.

( ) 47. What can we infer from the passage?

A.The new coronavirus can be spread from person to person.

B. Only very small viruses fly in the air after a cough.

C. Cleaning is very important because organic matter stops disease.

D. The infected person’s ability to stop viruses is not just a little .

( ) 48. About objects and surfaces, it is clear _______.

A. they play an important role in spreading the new coronavirus

B. they play an important role for related viruses, for example,SARS

C. they are unimportant in spreading disease like the novel coronavirus

D. they are infected by the virus on a person’s nose, mouth or face

( ) 49. The coronavirus is _______ .

A. a common style of germs in the environment

B. a special style of blood flowing in our body

C. a special style and can be stopped developing

D. a useful kind of virus to kill germs

七、阅读表达(共5小题,计10分)

As we all know, the rice bowl culture of China has influenced some Asian countries such as Japan, Korea and Vietnam since we started to use chopsticks while eating food.

Chopsticks are usually two long thin pieces of wood or bamboo. They can also be made of plastic, animal bone or metal. 83. The most important thing is that chopsticks are a great invention in China.

Five thousand years ago people usually cooked their food in large pots , using twigs to remove it. When the population grew, people began cutting food into small pieces. 84 Food in small piece could be eaten easily with twigs by people. And twigs were gradually changed into chopsticks.

Some people think that the famous scholar Confucius living from about 551 BC to 479 pushed the development of chopsticks. Confucius believed that using chopsticks instead of knives would remind people to stay away from killing and violence at table.

We enjoy our delicious food with our family members or friends while feeling the peaceful and people-loving world by using chopsticks at table anytime.
