When the part identifier is more than 15 digits, refer to Overlength paragraph. Part Numbers shown in this IPC are ATA Spec2000 conform, i.e. PNs having a dash (-) are only permitted between Numeric-Numeric characters. The dash is not permitted and not used between Alpha-Numeric nor Alpha-Alpha nor Numeric-Alpha characters. However Vendor PNs may not necessarily adhere to the ATA Spec2000 and hence could have a dash (-) within a PN where the corresponding PN shown in the IPC does not.
