【特约稿件】浙江Goblin：受朱老师邀请，谈一谈我整本书阅读的经历。中考结束后，有点一段比较宽裕的时间，准备读一本英文原版小说，但是生词太多，根本啃不动。我妈妈也是高中英语教师，她正好认识朱老师。在朱老师的启蒙下，我读完了Harry Potter第一部小说（课程链接：《35小时精读Harry Potter原版小说》），后来一发不可收拾，趁热打铁，自己又读了一部英文小说。首考英语成绩142分，现已被复旦大学录取。谈一谈我的感受。第一，词汇是大问题。突破了词汇障碍，你肯定会有茅塞顿开的快感。真诚感谢朱老师，帮我扫清了词汇障碍，我才有机会享受到整本书阅读的酣畅淋漓和行云流水。第二，人物塑造。我在小学的时候读完了Harry Potter中文版，超级喜欢Harry Potter, Hermoine, Ron, Hagrid等人物，感觉他们就是我身边的好朋友。但毕竟是译本，读起来总觉得不尽兴。后来读原版时，体会更深了。建议大家要是有可能，还是读原版比较好，人物形象栩栩如生。今天，我给大家整理五个人物描写的场景，供大家品鉴。人物塑造1：利用“身材胖瘦和脖子长短”形成鲜明对比，刻画人物的外貌。德思礼先生体胖脖子短，而他妻子瘦削脖子长，对比强烈，给人留下深刻印象。推荐背诵。He was a big, beefy man with hardly any
neck, although he did have a very large mustache. Mrs. Dursley was thin and
blonde and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful
as she spent so much of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the
neighbors. （Page 1）- 他高大魁梧，胖得几乎连脖子都没了，却蓄着一脸大胡子。德思礼太太是个瘦削的金发女人。她的脖子几乎比正常人长一倍。这样每当她花许多时间隔着篱墙引颈而望、窥探左邻右舍时，她的长脖子可就派上了大用场。
人物塑造2：利用“貌、神、饰”来塑造人物形象。下面这段描栩栩如生，邓布利多的形象跃然纸上：他的身材、胖瘦、年纪、服饰、眼睛中的神韵和智慧、丰富的经历（断过两次的鼻子）。对中学生来说，是非常难得的作文临摹素材。Nothing like this man had ever been seen on
Privet Drive. He was tall, thin, and very old, judging by the silver of his
hair and beard, which were both long enough to tuck into his belt. He was
wearing long robes, a purple cloak that swept the ground, and high-heeled,
buckled boots. His blue eyes were light, bright, and sparkling behind half-moon
spectacles and his nose was very long and crooked, as though it had been broken
at least twice. This man’s name was Albus Dumbledore. （Page
9）- 女贞路上从来没有见过这个男人。他个子瘦高，银发和银须长到都能够塞到腰带里了，凭这一点就可以断定他年纪已经很大了。他穿一件长袍，披一件掩到地的紫色斗篷，登一双带搭扣的高跟靴子。半月形的眼镜后边二对湛蓝湛蓝的明亮眼睛闪闪放光。他的鼻子很长，但是扭歪了，看来至少断过两次。他的名字叫阿不思邓布利多。
人物塑造3：抓住“外貌和性格的吻合”来刻画人物形象。相由心生。下面这段描写就与Professor McGonagall的性格高度契合，“外冷内热”，虽然对学生严厉，但是内心却关心和深爱着学生，深得学生爱戴。He turned to smile at the tabby, but it had
gone. Instead he was smiling at a rather severe-looking woman who was wearing
square glasses exactly the shape of the markings the cat had had around its eyes.
She, too, was wearing a cloak, an emerald one. Her black hair was drawn into a
tight bun. She looked distinctly ruffled.（Page 10）- 他回头朝花斑猫微微一笑。花斑猫不见了，换成一个神情严肃的女人，戴一副方形眼镜，看起来跟猫眼睛周围的纹路一模一样。她也披了一件翠绿色斗篷，乌黑的头发挽成一个很紧的发髻。她显得非常激动。
人物塑造4：利用“外貌和性格的反差”来刻画人物形象。Hagrid体型硕大，外表狂野，但是他内心柔软善良，爱好编织，爱好养小动物，最重要的是他为人忠诚。推荐背诵。If the motorcycle was huge, it was nothing
to the man sitting astride it. He was almost twice as tall as a normal man and
at least five times as wide. He looked simply too big to be allowed, and so
wild — long tangles of bushy black hair and beard hid most of his face, he had
hands the size of trash can lids, and his feet in their leather boots were like
baby dolphins. In his vast, muscular arms he was holding a bundle of blankets.（Page 15）- 如果说摩托是一辆巨型摩托，那么骑车人就更不在话下了。那人比普通人高一倍，宽度至少有五倍，似乎显得出奇地高大，而且粗野地纠结在一起的乱蓬蓬的黑色长发和胡须几乎遮住了大部分脸庞，那双手有垃圾桶盖那么大，一双穿着皮靴的脚像两只小海豚。他那肌肉发达的粗壮双臂抱着一卷毛毯。
人物塑造5：把外面描写和情节设计融合在一起：“比同龄人瘦小”说明他的童年不幸福；“粘在一起的圆框眼镜”说明他经常被欺负；他遗传了“他父亲的膝盖骨突出的膝盖和黑头发”和妈妈的眼睛；额头上来源不明、道像闪电似的疤痕预示着他传奇的将来。推荐背诵。Harry had always been small and skinny for
his age. He looked even smaller and skinnier than he really was because all he
had to wear were old clothes of Dudley’s, and Dudley was about four times
bigger than he was. Harry had a thin face, knobbly knees, black hair, and
bright green eyes. He wore round glasses held together with a lot of Scotch
tape because of all the times Dudley had punched him on the nose. The only
thing Harry liked about his own appearance was a very thin scar on his forehead
that was shaped like a bolt of lightning. He had had it as long as he could remember,
and the first question he could ever remember asking his Aunt Petunia was how
he had gotten it.- 他显得比他的同龄人瘦小。他看上去甚至比他实际的身材还要瘦小，因为他只能穿达力的旧衣服，而达力要比他高大三四倍。哈利有一张消瘦的面孔、膝盖骨突出的膝盖、乌黑的头发和一对翠绿的眼睛。他戴着一副用许多透明胶带粘在一起的圆框眼镜，因为达力总用拳头揍他的鼻子。哈利对自己的外表最喜欢的就是额头上那道像闪电似的淡淡的疤痕。这道疤痕从他记事起就有了，他记得他问佩妮姨妈的第一个问题就是这道伤疤是怎么落下的。
