PrefaceArevelationhasbeenmadebytheLordconcerningheavenandhell,concerningtheLastJudgmentwhichhasbeenaccomplished,concerningthespiritualsenseoftheWord;thushasbeenrevealedthewaytosalvation,andconcerningthestateofmanafterdeath;andthishasbeendonefullyandmanifestly,sothatanyonewhounderstandstheLatinlanguagemayknow.Allthiswasdoneandpublishedayearago.Butstillthechurchdoesnotcareforthis.Inheaventheywonderverygreatlythatthechurchisinsuchastatethatthethingswhichareitsveryessentialsarenotevenlookedinto,butareleftasmattersofnomoment-anindicationthatheavenlythingsdonotoccupytheirmindsatall,andarenotseenwhenrevealed.
