4.【1】AxialCuttingSamplePreparation:
4.1.1SamplePreparation
Interceptthetestedcable50mwiththecuttingdevice.Getridofthepacking
materialoftheoutersemi-conductivecable.IncasetheXLPEinsulationlayer
isabove12mm,knockoffthemiddlecopperconductor,cleanoffthemetaland
hardmaterialtoavoidpossibledamagetothestriptool.IftheXLPEinsulation
layerisbelow12mm,knockoffthecopperconductor10-15mm,cleanoffthe

metalresidueandtheoutercopperconductor(Thepurposeistogetgood
cuttingpiecewiththree-handplate)
4.1.2Checkwhethertheequipmentissteady,connectthepowersupply,open
thekeyswitchandtheindicationlamplightson.
4.1.3Checktheupperandlowerworkingtableposition.Checkwhetherthere
isforeignmatteraroundtherailincasetherebeaccidentswhenthemachine
startsoff.
4.1.4Checkwhetherthereislooseattherangeswitchbumper.Movethe
bumpertothemiddlepositionincaseofloosening.
4.1.5Start“forward”button,withrighthandat“stop”button.Incaseof
abnormity,press“stop”.Watchtherangeandregulatetheleftandright
bumpertoproperpositions.Press“backward”button,andmovetheworking
tabletotherightpositionforfutureuse.
4.1.6Installthecuttingknife.Theknifeedgeshallbearound4mmbelowthe
knifeframe.Clamptightlytheknifesteelcover.Ensure5-10mmbetweenedge
ofsteelcoverandedgeofthecuttingknife
4.1.7Putthesampletothethree-handplate,lampittightly,takeoffthewrench
androtatethehandwheel.Lockthesamplewithhandleafteritarrivesata
properheight.
4.1.8Pressforwardbuttonandstartcutting.Effectivecuttingslicemeansthe
actualsecondsliceaftertotalsurfacecutting.
4.1.9Theupperandlowerhandwheelscaleis0.02mmperunit.Theycanbe
used15minutesafterthehandwheelisloosened.
4.【2】Verticalcuttingpreparation
4.2.1Inthedirectionofthecuttingmachine,interceptthetestedcablewith
lengthof170~180mm.Thetestedsampleshallbeleveledandnoresidueor
hardmaterialisleftonthesurface.
4.2.2Checkthesteadinessoftheequipment,connectthepowersupply,start
thekeyswitchandtheindicationlamplightson.

4.2.3Checkthepositionofupperandlowerworkingtable,andcheckwhether
thereisforeignmaterialaroundtherailincaseofaccidentsduringstarting.
4.2.4Checkwhetherthereislooseningattherangebumper.Pleasemove
thebumpertothemiddlepositionincaseofloosening.
4.2.5Start“forward”button,withrighthandat“stop”button.Incaseof
abnormity,press“stop”.Watchtherangeandregulatetheleftandright
bumpertoproperpositions.Press“backward”button,andmovetheworking
tabletotherightpositonforfutureuse.
4.2.6Dismantlethethree-handplateandchangetotheflatpliers.
4.2.7Installtheblade.Theknifeedgeisaround4mmbelowtheknifeframe.
Clamptightlytheknifesteelcover,distancebetweenthecoveredgeandthe
bladeedgeshouldbe5-10mm.
4.2.8Putthesparesampletothespecialflatplier,regulatetheVtypesteelto
properheight,clamptightlythetestedsample.Rotatetheupperandlower
handwheelsothatthetestedsampleisattheproperposition.
4.2.9Checkwhetherthespannerhasbeentookoff.
4.2.10Pressforwardbuttonandstartcutting.Watchthecuttingsituationallthe
time.Whentheinnerconductororsemiconductoristoappears,stopthe
operationrightawayincasetheinnercopperconductordamagesthetool.
5.Maintenance
5.1Thedrivingcabinetoilshallbereplacedonceayear.
5.2Thepositionwithoilcorerequiresoilingbeforebeingused.
5.3Theconductiverailandthescrewrodshallbecleanedandoiledregularly.
5.4Thecuttingsliceshallbedismantledandstoredafteruse.
5.5Thepowermustbeturnedoffafterthetestisover.
6.Bladerestorationandgrinding
6.1Theangleofthebladeshallbebetween18°~20°。
6.2Thebladeshallberoughlygrindedwithbricks.Theoilstoneshallbe
