DorotheusofSidon西元一世紀占星家(早於拖樂密Ptolemy)，在其著作占星之歌(CarmenAstrologicum)第一冊中提到後天十二宮的強弱，供有興趣者研究。Onthesuperiorityoftheplaces.KeepwhatItellyouoftheplacesandthesuperiorityofoneofthemoveranotherinpower.Sothebestoftheplacesistheascendant,thenthemidheaven,thenwhatfollowsthemidheaven,whichistheeleventhfromtheascendant,thentheoppositetothiseleventhplacefromtheascendant,whichisthefifthfromtheascendantwhichiscalledthehouseofthechild,thentheoppositetotheascendant,whichisthesignofmarriage,thenthecardineoftheearth,thentheninthplacefromtheascendant.Thusthesearesevenplaceswhicharepreferredtotheplaceswhicharenotrecognizedasgood:thethirdfromtheascendantbecauseitissaidthatitistheplaceofthejoyoftheMoon,andthesecondfromtheascendant,thentheeighthfromtheaseendent,whichisthesignofdeath.OftheseplaceswhichItoldyou,thefirstisthestrongest.Thereremainequaltothistwoplaceswhicharetheworstoftheworst,andtheyarethesixthandthetwelfth.============================◆宫位力量上的优越性：最强之宫是上升（1宫），中天（10宫）次之，第三位是从上升数起的第11宫，然后第四位是第11宫的对宫——第5宫，它也被称之为子女宫。第五则是上升对面的第7宫，即婚姻宫；第六是天底（第4宫），第七是从上升数起的第9宫。同样也有些宫位我们认为不吉：首先是自上升数起的第3宫，因为它是月亮喜居之地，而后是第2宫；再是第8宫，也是司掌死亡之宫。上述这3、2、8个宫中最为吉的是第3宫。剩下两个宫则是凶上加凶的第6和第12宫========================我自己的简化理解：宫位从强至弱、吉至凶的排列顺序——1、10、11、5、7、4、9、3、2、8、6、12（其中从第3宫开始算不吉之宫）
