ManualupdatingoffirmwareisavailableinthePhocussoftware,fromversion2.7Macand
2.7Windows.However,pleaseusethelatestversionofPhocusforfirmwareupdating.For
Windowsitisstronglyrecommendedtousethe64bitversion.
TheupdateshouldpreferablybemadebyanauthorizedHasselbladservicecentrebutcan
alsobemadeusingthefollowingprocedure.
ProceduresforupdatingcamerabodyfirmwareviathePhocussoftware:
Inordertoperformtheupdate,theGILunitmustbeattachedtothecamera.
1.Unzipthedownloadedfile.
2.Makesureyourcameraisturnedon.
3.ConnectthecameratoPhocususingaPOWEREDFireWirecable.
4.Goto“File”andthen“UpdateFirmware”andlocatethedesiredfirmwarepackage
(GIL150220.hbf)onyourcomputer,andclick“Update”.
5.Followtheinstructionsprovidedfromthesoftwarecarefully!Donotswitchoffthe
cameraduringtheupdateprocess,unlessspecificallyrequestedbythePhocus
software.
6.Whentheupdatehasbeenfinalized,pleaserestartyourcameraandcheckthatthe
firmwarehasbeensuccessfullyupdated.
IMPORTANTNOTICE:DuringtheupgradeproceduredoNOTdisconnecttheFireWirecable
untilprompted!
UnintentionallyremovingtheFireWirecableduringthefirmwaredownloadprocedurecould
