Withtwentyyearsexperience,the
TAM-Jhasaproventrackrecord
ofperformingawidevarietyoffunc-
tionswheremultipleinflatecycles
arerequired.
TheTAM-Jcontrolmovestheinfla-
tionportbetweentheinflate,locked-
setandreleasepositionswithonly
right-handtorque.Inadditiontothe
simplicityofthe“J”track,anequal-
izationflowpathfromabovetobelow
theinflatableelementisalsoopened
andclosedwiththeup-and-down
movementoflockingthepackerinto
thesetposition.
Avarietyofsettingmechanismsare
alsoavailableforuseintheTAM-J
toolsystem,whichallowsmultiple
cycleswithoutcirculatingadditional
settingballs.

stringafterinflation.Thissettingmechanismallowscircula-
tionwhilerunningintothewellandpriortodroppingthe
balltotheseat.Itprovidesameansformultiplesetswith-
outdroppingadditionalballs.

Noballsaredroppedinthissettingmechanismandthetool
isalwaysineithertheinflatingortreatingposition.This
mechanismisdesignedformultiplesetoperations.Itispar-
ticularlyreliableinhorizontalapplicationsasthereisno
requirementtoplaceaballontoaseat.
AutoPiston
Thestandingvalveisusedforspecialtestingprograms,such
ashydraulicfracturingstresstesting,whenitisimportantto
protectthetargetformationfrompressure(e.g.shearingthe
settingball)priortothetest.Afterthepackersareinflated
andpressureintheworkstringisreleased,thevalveislifted
bywireline,openingthroughthemandrel.
