分析 本单元通过讨论意想不到的事情，谈论有关令人尴尬或者令人难忘的事情，了解自己不幸日，培养自己对已发生的事情进行客观评论的能力，增强自主解决问题的能力。本单元的话题围绕意想不到的事情展开，这类话题在近两年中考中是常考的话题，经常以完形填空阅读理解和书面表达的形式呈现完形填空和阅读理解，设题，特点是讲述令人难忘的或者尴尬的事情，书面表达一般以提示作文的形式来计数令人难以忘记的事情。本课设计为听说课。 学情
分析 从整体来说，学生的学习积极性还是不强的，五班大多数学生上课纪律较好，但注意力不够集中，使用英语词汇的能力较差。六班大部分学生学习的兴趣不够浓厚，学习的主动性不强，不现象比较严重，没有尖子生。大部分学生还存在着依赖性，尤其是作听力不愿意自己探究知识，没有好的听课习惯和学习习惯，还要在今后的学习中进行训练。 教学
目标 1.学生能在交际中理解和使用本节课的词汇和句型：unexpected, by the time, backpack, oversleep，By the time I got outside, the bus had already left. When I got to school, I realized I had left my backpack at home.
2.学生能听懂听力材料，抓住关键信息。理解过去完成时时态，结构及用法。
3.学生理解过去完成时时态，结构及用法。
4.学生生生交流，小组合作，能在互助合作学习中初步运用过去完成时态描述自己的某次意外的经历。
5.能学会合理安排自己的学习和生活，做到守时守信。 教学

Step 1. Lead-in
Do you remember any unexpected situation in your daily life? 展示几张尴尬的人的图片。
T: I was late for work today. When I got up, I found my clock had rung. It was 7:30.
By the time I went to the bathroom, my son had been in. So I had to wait. When I went out, I found my motorbike had broken down. (老师讲述自己迟到的经历，激起学生对一下内容的学习)。
Now look at the picture, let’s learn something about Tina’s bad day。

Teach “By the time” and 过去完成时的构成
表示过去某一时间可用by, before 等构成的短语来表示。
也可以用when, before 等引导的时间状语从句来表示。
还可以通过状语从句或通过上下文暗示。
例如：
When I got there, you had already eaten your meal.
当我到达那里时，你已经开始吃了。
By the time he got here, the bus had left.
在他到达那里之前，汽车已经离开了。

Ss: They look scared/bad.
T: What happened to the boy?
Ss: He broke his arm. He is getting an electric shock.

Possible answers: She got up late. By the time she got up, someone had already gotten in the bathroom. She rushed out the door. The bus had left before she got to the station. When she got to school, she realized she had left her backpack at home. ….

Listen to the tape of 1b. Complete the sentences.
Work on 1c. Take turns being Mary. Look at the pictures and talk about what happened this morning.
过去完成时用法：
(1) 构成：由“助动词had (用于各种人称和数) + 过去分词”构成
否定式：had not + 过去分词
缩写形式：hadn’t
(2) 用法：过去完成时表示在过去某一时间或动作之前已经发生或完成了的动作。
(3) 它所表示动作发生的时间是“过去的过去”。
创设情景，导入新课。
