Shotgun (long or short) - best choice for sound isolation, getting audio from multiple actors, and
keeping mic out of the picture
Long Shotgun - improved distance pickup
Lavaliere - best choice when you have limited crew and 1 actor/speaker
Note: Shotguns use phantom power but stil require AA bateries. Batery switch on mic (should be off
when using phantom power).
