Merging NetworksMerging Networks allows you to display up to 500 molecules at once. It is useful if you have a series of networks that are related functionally, or if you have common molecules present in more than one network and you wish to see all of their connections simultaneously.
1a. From the Overlapping Networks page, select more than one network that you wish to merge. (Hold down the CTRL key while clicking with the mouse, or click and drag to select the networks.) Then click the Merge Networks icon
1b. Alternatively, from the Overlapping Networks table, select more than one network by putting a check in the checkbox. Then click the "Merge Networks" button.
2. The Merged Network will be opened as a My Pathway. The molecules and relationships for each individual network are added to the Merged Network, as well as any new relationships that connect these networks. The newly added relationships are highlighted in blue. The molecules that are in common between the individual networks are also highlighted in orange.
3. Merged Networks can be manipulated exactly like My Pathways. When saved, Merged Networks are stored in your My Pathways Library, as well as in the corresponding project folder.
Note: If you want to add the molecules from a two networks to a pathway, but not the relationships, use the Add to Pathway feature. |
