Overlapping NetworksThe Overlapping Networks view enables you to identify overlapping molecules between networks and then merge them into a single larger network.
Overlapping Networks is analogous to Network Explorer, however in Overlapping Networks rectangles represent entire networks and lines represent the common molecules between them.
Each network is represented by a colored rectangle and is labeled with its corresponding network number. Clicking on a rectangle highlights the rectangle and all the lines it is associated with. In addition, a display of all the molecules in the particular network is displayed in the window below the Overlapping Networks diagram. Clicking on a line will allow you to see the molecules associated with each of the networks that connected by the line. The molecules that are in common to both networks are highlighted in yellow.
To display the number of common molecules between two overlapping networks, click on the Show # of Common Molecules button. You can hide the display of common molecules between networks by clicking on the Hide Common Molecules button.
Overlapping Networks Tools
Graph Navigation ToolsThis tool is available from networks and pathways. The arrow keys allow you to move the network left, right, up, and down. The + button acts as a Zoom In tool. The "-" button is a Zoom Out tool. Clicking the circle in the center Fits the network to the screen.
Clicking the the double arrow in the top left opens an overview of the network so that you can determine where on the page you are focusing. |
