                                       Never seek to tell thy love,

                                       Love that never told can be;

                                       For the gentle wind does move

                                       Silently, invisibly

                                       I told my love, I told my love,

                                       I told her all my heart;

                                       Trembling, cold, in ghastly fears,

                                       Ah! she doth depart.

                                       Soon as she was gone from me,

                                       A traveller came by,

                                       Silently, invisibly;

                                       He took her with a sigh.

                                          永远不要试图坦露爱

                                          爱不是说出的就存在

                                          温柔的风儿款款而行 

                                          默默无声，隐秘形骸

                                          我几番对她表白爱意

                                          因极度害怕发冷颤栗
