guess、reckon、 speculate 佳中 guess reckon speculate on /about guess 普通用词，可以用作动词或名词。指事物进行无把握的猜测、猜想。可接名词、wh-clause 和 that-clause 作宾语。reckon 表示猜测 只接that-clause，语气比guess 强，即猜测、猜想的把握性要大一些。speculate 表示“猜测”时是不及物动词，需接介词about 或 on。 1) I can’t guess his thoughts on the matter.
