What if Daniel Radcliffe hadn't been chosen to play Harry Potter? I can't imagine this month's release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 with any stars other than the ones I've come to know. That said, there were other famous faces who came close to nabbing roles in the series. Check out these 10 actors who almost starred in the series!

Liam Aiken as Harry Potter

Aiken, best known for Stepmom, was actually given the prize role as Harry (pictured here in 2001, the year Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stonewas released), but he lost the part a day later. The problem: he wasn't British, and producers wanted a Brit to play the young wizard. Though I love Radcliffe, doesn't Aiken kind of look like the book illustrations of Harry?

连姆·艾肯（Liam Aiken）（左图，拍摄于2001年），成名于朱莉娅•罗伯茨（Julia Roberts）主演的电影《真爱同心》（Stepmom）。实际上，在《哈利•波特与魔法石》（Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone）开拍之前，确定了由连姆·艾肯来扮演哈利，不过很快他就落选了。问题出在：他不是英国人——而制片人想找一个土生土长的英国小男孩来扮演可爱的小魔法师。虽然我也很钟爱丹尼尔版本的哈利，可是似乎连姆·艾肯更像小说插图里的哈利哦。

Ian McKellen as Dumbledore

Though two different actors have portrayed Dumbledore (first Richard Harris, then Michale Gambon after Harris's death), McKellen was also offered the role of the Hogwarts headmaster.

理查德·哈里斯（Richard Harris）扮演了第一任邓布利多，他去世后由演员迈克尔·刚本（Michale Gambon）接班。而“甘道夫”/“万磁王”伊恩·麦克莱恩（Ian McKellen）（左图）也曾被邀请出演霍格沃兹魔法学校的校长哦。

 

 

Naomi Watts as Narcissa Malfoy

Watts was set to play Narcissa, Lucius Malfoy's wife and Draco's mother, but her agency rejected the role for her. English actress Helen McRory ended up as Narcissa.

“金刚的女人”娜奥米·沃茨（Naomi Watts）（左图）本应饰演纳西莎——卢修斯•马尔福的妻子，也就是德拉科•马尔福的母亲。可是娜奥米·沃茨的经纪公拒绝了这个角色，而最后英国女演员海伦·麦克洛瑞（Helen McRory）成为了大家看到的纳西莎。

Tilda Swinton as Professor Trelawney

Before Emma Thompson played the batty professor of Divination, Tilda Swinton was offered the part.

左图是落选了的蒂尔达·斯温顿（Tilda Swinton），后来她出演了“纳尼亚传奇”系列的冰雪女巫。右图是现任的占卜课老师，由英国女演员艾玛·汤普森（Emma Thompson）饰演。

Hugh Grant as Gilderoy Lockhart

Grant was cast as Lockhart, the narcissistic Defense Against the Dark Arts instructor, but he had to pull out due to scheduling conflicts, leaving the role open for Kenneth Branagh.

一开始被选中饰演《哈利·波特与密室》（Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets）中这位超级自恋的黑魔法防御术教授的演员其实是休•格兰特（Hugh Grant），但是由于档期冲突，格兰特无法出演，把机会让给了右图中的肯尼思·布拉纳（Kenneth Branagh）。

Rosamund Pike as Rita Skeeter

Pike, who starred in An Education last year, was the first choice to play Skeeter, but she said no to playing the nosy journalist.

前任“邦女郎”罗莎蒙德·派克（Rosamund Pike）（左图）去年出演了英国电影《成长教育》（An Education）和《达格纳姆制造》（Made in Dagenham）。她才是最初被选为饰演《预言家日报》记者丽塔•斯基特的人。派克拒绝了这个角色，原因是不想扮演一个八卦记者。该角色最终是由米兰达·理查森（Miranda Richardson）饰演（右图）。

Tim Roth as Severus Snape

The Lie to Me star was in talks for the role of Snape, but he decided to go for another movie role instead (in Planet of the Apes. Wonder how he feels about that now). Alan Rickman went on to take the part of Harry's nemesis.

《别对我说谎》的主演蒂姆·罗斯（Tim Roth）原本是出演斯内普教授的备选人之一，不过他为了《人猿星球》（Planet of the Apes）而放弃了这一角色（不知道他现在有没有觉得后悔呢？）。最后，右图中的艾伦·瑞克曼（Alan Rickman）扮演了“混血王子”斯内普。

David Thewlis as Quirinus Quirrell

While Thewlis didn't miss the boat on starring in the Harry Potter series (he plays Lupin), he was originally up for the role of Professor Quirrell, the teacher who becomes possessed by Voldemort in the first film.

虽然大卫·休里斯（David Thewlis）目前在“哈利•波特”系列电影中饰演卢平教授(哈利三年级的黑魔法防御术老师)，但其实一开始给他安排是另外一个角色——第一部电影中出现的伏地魔的手下之一，奇洛教授。

Bob Hoskins as Horace Slughorn

Slughorn, the professor who teaches young Tom Riddle about Horcruxes, is played by Jim Broadbent. However, before he was cast, Brit actor Hoskins was considered for the role.

Jamie Campbell-Bower as Tom Riddle

Campbell-Bower wanted to play Tom Riddle, and though he didn't get it (the role went to Frank Dillane), he got to star in another famous book series: Twilight, and he'll appear in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as Gellert Grindelwald. (Bonus: he also dates Bonnie Wright, AKA Ginny Weasley).

曾出演《理发师陶德》（Sweeney Todd）和《暮光之城2：新月》（New Moon）的杰米·坎贝尔·鲍尔（Jamie Campbell Bower）参加了试镜，但是没有被选上，右图中的弗兰克·迪兰（Frank Dillane）获得了这个角色。不过失之东隅收之桑榆，虽然杰米·坎贝尔·鲍尔没有争取到未来伏地魔的角色，可是被“暮光之城”系列选中，并且还在《哈利·波特与死亡圣器(上)》（Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I）和《哈利•波特与死亡圣器（下）》（Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II）中饰演了黑巫师盖勒特•格林德沃。此外，他的女朋友是邦妮·赖特（Bonnie Wright）也就是金妮•韦斯莱的扮演者。
