Module 3 Unit 1 Collecting stamps is my hobby.

一、Teaching Objectives

(一)Knowledge Objectives:

1.  能听得懂,会读,会说,会拼写单词:collect stamps, hobby, men, women

2.  能听得懂,会说,会读,会写句型:

  1. Do you collect stamps? –Yes, I do.
  2. Have you get any stamps from China? –Yes, I have.
  3. These are some stamps from Canada. This stamp is from China.

(二)Ability Objectives

1.  通过学习,使学生能够运用句型来询问兴趣爱好,以及描述各种各样邮票,提高学生语言运用能力

2.  通过对比this stamp 和these stamps等,让学生通过感知、感悟,初步了解名词复数变化规律。

(三)Moral & Emotion

通过对本课的学习,使学生形成“健康的兴趣爱好,有利于陶冶情操”这观念,鼓励学生利用健康的兴趣爱好丰富课余生活。

 二、Teaching key & Difficult points

(一)重点:根据新课程标准对听说能力的要求,我确定本课重点为提高学生的听说能力,让学生听懂本课Activity 2的句型并能利用这些句型看图进行交流。

(二)难点:学生口语水平的提高,达到能较熟练地运用重点句型进行表达。

通过先听后说,同时展示不同的邮票,让学生和老师共同讨论等方式,以不断鼓励的方法突破难点。

三、Teaching Methods

一节好的英语课应面向全体学生,充分体现学生的主体性,变被动接受为主动参与,因此在本节课教学中,我创设了一些情境,让学生在对不同邮票的描述中反复操练。同时采用多种教学方法和手段,创造良好的课堂气氛,激发学生的兴趣,吸引每个学生参与其中,积极主动的学习,本课我采用的教学法主要有以下几种:

1.直观法:利用一些形象的邮票图片来进行词汇的学习,以激发学生的求知欲望,调动其积极性。

2.创设情境(提供邮票图片)利用多媒体课件显示不同国家的邮票,优化教学过程,让学生在情境中进行重点句型的练习,掌握本课要点。

  四、Teaching Procedures

Step 1 Warm up

 1.Greetings and free talk.

T: What’s your favorite sport/game/food..?

  Ss: My favorite sport/game/food…is…

  T: Do you like…?

  Ss: Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. I like….

 2.Have a words dictation, then check them in pairs.

(This step is employed to warm up the students and raise the interests of the students.)

Step2 Presentation
T shows the students a stamp album: What's this?  It’s a stamp album.

Open the stamps album: I like stamps very much. I collect them. Look, this is a Chinese stamp. It’s very beautiful. Do you like these stamps? These stamps are from Canada. I like them very much. Collecting stamps is my hobby.

Let’s listen who likes collecting stamps,too.

Step 3 Drills

Listen to the tape, and answer the following questions.

 1.Who likes collecting stamps?

 A. Daming  B.Simon  C. Amy

 2.Has Simon got a Chinese stamp?

 A.Yes, he has.  B.No, he hasn’t.  C.I don’t know.

Step 4 Practice

1. Go over the text and write the key sentences.

  I’ve got lots of stamps. 

Collecting stamps is my hobby.

These stamps are from China.

(Lead to read and practice in groups.)

2. Work in pairs and practice them.

Try to write the sentences. And make dialogues like this:

T: Have you got any books/ stamps/ kites/ toys/bags/pens?

Ss:Yes, I have. / No, I haven’t. But I’ve got lots of …collecting…is my hobby. These … are from my father or my friends or China… This one has got a picture of… on it.

3.Survey

  Ask the students to go around the classroom and find anyone who has got the same hobby as themselves, then write them down.

Step 5.Homework

  • Remember the words. Recite the dialogue, and try to write it without looking at the book.
