A video has captured the amazing moment a group of mountain gorillas mistake a tourist for one of their own.
The star of the show, 'John', was on a gorilla-watching tour in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, when a group consisting of an adult female, her babies and a silverback wandered into the Gorilla Forest Camp where he was staying.
And the gorillas seem to take a shine to John, even attempting to groom him while he sits there enjoying the 'heart racing' moment, reported USA Today.
The cameraman can be heard saying to him: "The silverback is just behind you. He's sitting a meter behind you and [there are] three babies squashed between him and you. The female's just behind you to your right.
"Tell me what you're feeling now, John."
"I just feel like one of the gang," he replies.
With scenes like this coming out of the country, it's not surprising the Lonely Planet voted Uganda as the top holiday destination for 2012.
