FlowSight
Always-on Scalable Analytics: TBs of data to collect, correlate, analyze and act upon
FlowSight is a Massively Parallel Processing platform that scales using Commercial Off-The-Shelf Hardware and Directly Attached Storage. This, united to the fact that FlowSight does not require any 3rd party licenses, provides for a disruptive Total Cost of Ownership when dealing with Big Data.
FlowSight includes:
- State of the art Fault Tolerance, Distribution and Manageability features that allow for low response latencies and always-on Analytics.
- A next generation Complex Event Processing engine that is able to achieve processing rates that were previously only available at packet processing level. The engine uses schema-less, distributed, in-memory columnar storage to be able to handle massive amounts of data.

FlowSight is a truly multi-vendor system that is able to provide an end-to-end view thanks to:

FlowSight has been built under the premise that new logic should be added quickly. Extensibility is therefore a key feature of the platform, and it is achieved mostly via configuration.

Auto-discovery and Self-Learning
FlowSight overcomes the issues of complex modeling, provisioning and administration from legacy Management platforms by means of Self-Learning Analytics algorithms:
- Auto-discovery of network topology, including end-to-end service paths (auto service-modeling) without integration with inventories.
- Auto-discovery of the bottlenecks, by comparison of KQIs & KPIs along the E2E Service Paths.
- Auto-discovery of devices.
- Auto-discovery of new protocols, applications and new usage patterns.
- Auto-discovery of new problem types or abnormal behaviors (new errors, high signaling, trends, etc.).
Revolutionary tracing and troubleshooting approach
FlowSight uses paradigms from the Internet players to quickly navigate among the vast amounts of data within the operator: it indexes all the data collected from the network in a similar manner that Google or Bing index the Internet.
NetSearch, the included search engine: is a familiar and quick way to find all the information (events, reports, maps…) about a term (e.g. a network element, an application…) in seconds, without knowing anything about data models or reporting universes.
Auto-search hyperlinks: Navigation across all the available information based on following hyperlinks, which automatically return the search results for the clicked term.
