纪录片《苏联的地铁故事》
Credits. Moscow is the capital of our fatherland. Buses, trams and trolleybuses run along the wide streets. And deep underground under Moscow streets and houses the subway trains rush along. This remarkable underground was built at the suggestion of comrade Stalin.
New and new tracks are being laid by subway builders. They work day and night deep underground. They cleave the ground hard as stone. And take this ground out in trolleys. Drive long corridors – tunnels. The most beautiful marble stones are used to decorate the subway. These stones are sent from Urals,
the Caucasus, Crimea – from all the Soviet Union. In Moscow streets and squares beautiful buildings were constructed with a big red letter “M” on the top – this is a subway entrance. Right from the street we enter a marble hall and head to the ticket office. There is a staircase in front of us. We stepped on the steps and the staircase began to move. We got down along a magic staircase.
And we found ourselves in an underground hall. Marble columns, wonderful lamps… It seemed a palace from a fairytale. In the depth of the Marble hall there is a sculpture of comrade Stalin. Everyone knows: it’s him! In these days of war and defence He ordered to build These long platforms These slender columns This marble station…
A train showed itself from the tunnel. It stopped by the platform. All of a sudden the doors opened by themselves and we got inside. We sat on soft leather couches. After the “Ready” command the doors were closed and the train set out. The lights started to blink. The train goes very fast underground.
On the station “Sverdlov Square” we get off. Move to another station and get on a train again. It takes us to the newly-build subway stations. We go along the bright underground corridor. And get off at the “Kursk station”. The new station is decorated with marbles and cut glass.
We get off the train in every station to admire new ones. There are pictures on the walls and one can sit on marble benches while waiting. Every new station is wonderful in its own way. The magic staircase carried us up. And we went out to the Crimean square. Now we can get everywhere by subway – work, school, railway station, park. Our Soviet subway is the most beautiful, the fastest and the best all over the world.
