本次教学,培养孩子在阅读过程中,把握故事的情节与背景 

情节,就是一连串的事件。故事情节,会有高潮出现。

背景,就是事件发生的时间、地点。

 

 

开始练习喽!

 

一、让孩子阅读下面的故事。 

 

Samir’s Splash

 

It was the hottest day of the summer.  There were no clouds in the sky.  There was no wind.  It was a good thing that Samir had just gotten to the public pool in his town.  It was early in the morning.

He was going to stay at the pool all day.

His friend Jake yelled from the diving board.  “Look what I can do!”  He ran and jumped up into the water.  When he landed, he made a giant splash.

Samir said he could make a big splash too, but Jake said he was too small.  Samir walked onto the diving board.  He ran and jumped as high as he could.  When he landed, water went everywhere!  Some water even landed on a lady sitting next to the pool.  It was bigger than Jake’s splash.  Jake said, “Wow!”

 

 

二、启发孩子回答问题。 

 

  问问孩子,这则故事的情节高潮是什么?

 

  先让孩子用绿色荧光笔,划出故事的背景。再让孩子用红色荧光笔,把高潮的铺垫划出来,再把高潮部分划出来。     

 

 

三、对对答案

 

  这则故事的高潮,就是小个头 Samir 从跳板上跃入泳池,溅起更大的水花,比 Jack 溅起的水花还要大。

 

  孩子应该像下面这样,把文章背景涂上绿色,再把情节高潮涂上红色:
