纵观2007年全国各城市中考英语的单项选择题,可以发现命题者在依据《义务教育英语教学大纲》的同时,渗透着新课程标准的理念。在考查学生基础知识的运用上, 尽量让语言贴近学生的生活。现在各市中考试卷的单项选择多为15题，笔者对15种常见的考点作简要分析，希望与大家共同分享。

解析本题考查冠词的用法。做题时，首先要考虑到句意通顺，第一个空意为“一个”，后面的end是特指故事的结尾。故选D。
