【题意】 我知道你可能会不喜欢这次拜访,但出于礼貌，不管怎样，你最好去看看他。

 

 

                      

 

 

        英语中用副词 anyway 或 anyhow 表示婉转语气，意思是“不管怎样”、

“不管怎么说”、“无论如何”。在这一用法上两者区别不大，常可换用。现代英语中

用anyway 多一些。

 

       1）Anyhow / Anyway, we must finish the work today.   

  无论如何, 今天我们必须完成这项工作。

   2）Anyhow / Anyway, You should have told him about all the facts of the matter.   

  不管怎么说，你应该把这件事的真相都告诉他。

   3）It may rain, but anyhow / anyway I shall go out. I don’t mind the rain.   

  天可能要下雨,但无论如何我要出去一趟，我不介意下雨。

   4）I’ll not take Jenny bare word for it. She’s a little troblemaker, anyway.    

  我不会仅凭詹妮的嘴巴说说就相信它。她怎么说也是个小捣乱鬼。

       5）This idea probably won’t work, but let’s try it anyway.

  这种想法可能行不通，不过咱们可以让试试。

 

       除此以外，英语中还可用 at any rate、in any event、in any case 等短

语来表示不管怎样”、“不管怎么说”、“无论如何”的意思。用法同 anyway 和

anyhow。

 

       1）In any case,it is most probably a misunderstanding and there is nothing so

            serious as you think.  

 不管怎么说,这很可能是一种误解,没有像你想的那么严重。

      2）We may miss the next bus, but in any case we’ll manage to get there befor

            miday.  

 我们也许赶不上下一班公共汽车，但无论如何我们要在午前赶到那里

 

 3）He won’t listen to me, but, at any rate,I’ll try my best to dissuade him from his 

       dangerous attempt.   

  他不会听我的,但是无论如何,我将尽我最大努力劝他放弃他的危险的尝试。

       4）At any rate, we will never allow such a thing happening again.  

 不管怎样，我们决不会让这样的事情再次发生。

  

   5）In any event, I’ll telephone you before I make a final decision.   

            不管怎样，我会先打电话给你，然后再作最后的决定。

       6）I may not go to Europe, but in any event, I will visit your during the summer.
